Bethany College (WV) Bison Football Tickets

Bethany College, located in the rolling hills of West Virginia, may not be a household name in college football, but it has a rich history and tradition of success on the gridiron.

The Bethany Bison football program began in 1891 and quickly established itself as a competitive force in the region. Over the years, the team has won several conference championships and produced numerous All-American players.

One of the most notable eras in Bethany football history was in the 1930s under the leadership of head coach Raymond G. Boetticher. During his tenure, the Bison compiled a record of 55-20-4 and won three consecutive Presidents' Athletic Conference titles from 1935-1937.

In more recent years, the Bison have continued to make their mark in the NCAA Division III landscape. In 2001, they made their first appearance in the postseason when they qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs. They followed that up with additional playoff appearances in 2002, 2005, and 2008.

The current head coach of the Bison is Bill Garvey, who took over the program in 2016. Under Garvey's leadership, the team has continued to compete at a high level and maintain the winning tradition of Bethany football.

While Bethany College may not have the same level of national recognition as some larger universities, the Bison football program serves as a reminder that there are plenty of talented athletes and successful teams at the Division III level.
