Boris Allakhverdyan is a world-renowned clarinetist, known for his virtuosic playing and mastery of both classical and contemporary music. His artistry has taken him to some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, and he has collaborated with many of the greatest musicians of our time.

Born in Armenia, Allakhverdyan began playing the clarinet at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated an incredible talent for the instrument, enrolling in the Barsej Kancon Army Music College at just thirteen years old. After completing his studies in Armenia, he moved to Moscow to continue his education at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Allakhverdyan's skill as a clarinetist quickly drew attention from around the world, and he was invited to join the New York Philharmonic as their principal clarinetist in 2016. He has also performed with many other leading orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra.

While Allakhverdyan has established himself as a master of classical repertoire, he is also passionate about exploring contemporary music. He has premiered several new works specifically commissioned for him, including pieces by such composers as Peter Eotvos and Aaron Jay Kernis.

He has taught at the Colburn School in Los Angeles and regularly gives master classes across the country.
