Founded in 1967 as the Dubuque Fighting Saints Junior A Hockey Club, the team played in various leagues before finally landing in the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2010. In their inaugural season in the USHL, the Fighting Saints won the Clark Cup, the league's championship trophy.
