Joseph Parker is a professional boxer from New Zealand who has made a name for himself in the sport. Born on January 9, 1992, this Kiwi boxer stands at an impressive six-foot-four-inches and competes as a heavyweight fighter.

Parker's boxing career began in his teenage years when he started training at the Metropolitan Boxing Club in Auckland. He had his first amateur match at the age of 16 against Jordan Tuigamala and won via unanimous decision. During his amateur career, Parker compiled a record of 66-23 and won the gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

In June 2012, Parker turned pro and signed with Duco Events, a boxing promotion company based in New Zealand. He won his first professional fight on July 5, 2012, against Dean Garmonsway and continued to build his win streak to 12-0 before losing to Solomon Haumono in July 2016.

Over the course of his professional career, Parker has fought some of the top names in boxing, including Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte, Alexander Dimitrenko, and Andy Ruiz Jr. Although Parker has suffered losses to Joshua and Whyte, he has also earned several notable victories in the ring.

One of Parker's biggest wins came in May 2018 when he defeated Hughie Fury by majority decision in a WBO world heavyweight title eliminator. This win secured Parker's shot at the WBO world heavyweight belt held by Joshua, but unfortunately, he was unable to defeat the British fighter in their bout.

In recent years, Parker has continued to improve his skills and remain a relevant player in the heavyweight division. He picked up a notable victory in February 2021 against Junior Fa with a unanimous decision victory after 12 rounds. The fight was highly anticipated as it featured two New Zealand fighters with past history together fighting for bragging rights.

Outside of boxing, Parker has also used his platform to support charitable causes. He is an ambassador for the Key to Life charity in New Zealand that promotes mental health awareness, and he has participated in fundraisers for organizations such as Autism New Zealand.

Overall, Joseph Parker has established himself as a talented heavyweight boxer with impressive skills in the ring. Although he has faced tough competition throughout his career, he continues to show resilience and fight against the best. Fans eagerly await what's next for this Kiwi fighter as he contemplates his future in a crowded boxing landscape.
