The LA KISS is a professional football team that was founded in 2013. Co-owned by rock band KISS’ co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, the team is part of the Arena Football League (AFL) and plays its home games at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The AFL is an indoor football league that has been in operation since 1987. It follows different rules compared to the traditional outdoor game, such as smaller field dimensions, eight players on each team, and rebound nets placed on either side of the goalposts to keep the ball in play.
The LA KISS made their debut in the league in 2014 and have since become known for their unique branding and marketing strategies. The team’s name and logo take inspiration from the iconic rock group, with their black and silver uniforms featuring elements such as lightning bolts, flames, and face paint designs.
Furthermore, the team’s pre-game entertainment features live music performances, pyrotechnics, and appearances by Simmons and Stanley themselves, making it a more immersive experience for fans.
