Lupe Fuentes, also known as Zuleidy Piedrahita, is a Colombian-Spanish DJ, producer and former adult film actress. While many may only know her for her work in the adult entertainment industry, Lupe has since transitioned into different forms of art, including theater.

In 2019, Lupe made her theater debut with the stage play "La Casa de Bernarda Alba," adapted by Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca. The play, directed by actress María Adánez, tells the story of a widow's effort to maintain control over her household in early 20th century Spain.

For Lupe, joining the cast was an opportunity to prove her talent outside of the adult industry. In an interview with Spanish newspaper El País, she expressed her excitement about tackling a new challenge and showcasing her abilities as an actress. "It’s a landmark in my life...I’m very grateful for this opportunity," she said.

Despite initial skepticism from some members of the theater community, Lupe proved to be a valuable addition to the cast. She received positive reviews for her performance as Angustias, the eldest daughter of Bernarda, portrayed by actress Irene Escolar.

Her transformation from an adult film star to a serious actress was not without its challenges, however. In an interview with Spanish news outlet ABC, Lupe discussed the difficulties she faced in distancing herself from her past and the negative stereotypes attached to the adult industry. "I’ve dedicated twelve years of my life to something that people try to degrade and denigrate, and it’s hard to make them understand that you’re something different," she said.

Nonetheless, Lupe's success in theater marks a new chapter in her career and serves as an inspiration for others who seek to overcome societal prejudices and make their mark in the arts.
