MacMurray College Highlanders Football Tickets

MacMurray College Highlanders Football may not have the same level of recognition as some of the other college football teams in the United States, but this small school in Jacksonville, Illinois has a rich history and a passionate fan base.

The team was founded in 1903 and quickly became a powerhouse in the early days of college football. MacMurray won six conference championships in the Illinois Intercollegiate Athletic Conference between 1929 and 1936, and even played in the first-ever Tangerine Bowl (now the Citrus Bowl) in 1947.

However, an influx of larger schools into the conference made it tougher for the Highlanders to compete, and the team struggled in the 1970s and 1980s. Despite this, MacMurray always had a strong following among students and alumni, who would come out in force to cheer on their team.

In recent years, MacMurray's fortunes on the football field have improved. The team joined the Midwest Conference in 2005, and has made several postseason appearances since then, including back-to-back appearances in the ECAC Division III South Bowl in 2013 and 2014.
