Founded in 1913, Parma FC was initially known as Verdi Football Club, before changing its name to Parma AC in 1920. The club played in the lower tiers of Italian football for much of its early history before enjoying a period of success in the 1990s.
During this time, Parma FC won three European titles, including two UEFA Cups and a European Cup Winners’ Cup. They also won two Coppa Italia trophies and a Supercoppa Italiana.
