Randy Graff has become a familiar face to Broadway enthusiasts over the years. The actress, who burst onto the scene in the late 1980s, has consistently dazzled audiences with her versatility and captivating performances. From her early roles in "Les Misérables" and "A Class Act," to her more recent appearances in "City of Angels" and "The Babylon Line," Graff has left an indelible mark on the theater world.

Graff was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1955, and began her career in the early 1980s after graduating from Wagner College. She first gained notice in the business for her work in regional theaters and off-Broadway productions. Her big break came in 1987 when she was cast as Fantine in the original Broadway production of "Les Misérables". Her stirring performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" earned her a Tony nomination and put her name on the map.

Since then, Graff has appeared in a number of memorable productions. In 1993, she took on the role of Lily Garland in "On the Twentieth Century," for which she won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She went on to receive critical acclaim in 1998 for her role in "A Class Act," a musical about the life of composer-lyricist Edward Kleban. She also showcased her dramatic chops in the 2002 revival of "A Little Night Music," playing the wistful Charlotte Malcolm.

One of Graff's most noteworthy performances came in the 2014 revival of "The Heidi Chronicles." This Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which explores the feminist movement of the 1960s and 70s, gave Graff the opportunity to showcase her talent for both comedy and drama. Her portrayal of the witty and conflicted Susan was praised by audiences and critics alike.

In addition to her work on stage, Graff has also made a name for herself in film and television. She appeared in the 1999 comedy-drama "Blue Moon," as well as several episodes of the popular crime drama "Law & Order." She has also done extensive voiceover work, lending her talents to numerous animated series and video games.

Though she has amassed an impressive resume over the years, Graff remains one of theater's most underappreciated performers. Her range as an actress is remarkable, and her ability to bring nuance and depth to each character she portrays is a testament to her talent. It is difficult to imagine the Broadway landscape without her contributions, and it is certain that her work will continue to inspire generations of aspiring actors and actresses.
