Stephanie Kwan is a rising star in the world of classical music. A pianist and composer, she has already achieved a great deal of success at a young age. Her talents have been recognized by numerous competitions and festivals, and she has performed in venues around the world.

Kwan was born in Toronto, Canada in 1996 and began playing piano at the age of six. She quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned teachers such as James Anagnoson and Lydia Wong. By the time she was a teenager, Kwan was already receiving attention for her performances in numerous competitions, including the RCM Piano Competition, the Ontario Provincial Music Festival, and the Oshawa-Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival.

After completing her undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of Toronto, Kwan went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School in New York City. There, she developed her skills as a composer as well, studying under some of the most talented and respected composers in the field. Kwan's compositions have been performed in both Canada and the United States, including a premiere at Carnegie Hall in 2019.

One of Kwan's greatest strengths as a musician is her ability to perform both classical repertoire and contemporary works with equal skill and sensitivity. Her repertoire includes a wide range of pieces from Bach to Beethoven to Messiaen, as well as more modern works by living composers such as John Adams, Sofia Gubaidulina, and George Crumb. Kwan sees each piece as an opportunity to connect with audiences and bring them into the emotional landscape of the music.

Kwan's talent has earned her numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2019, she was named the winner of the Glenn Gould School Concerto Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra at Koerner Hall.
