The University of South Florida's baseball program has a long and rich history dating back to 1966. Over the years, USF Baseball has become one of the most respected programs in college baseball, producing many successful players and coaches.

In recent years, the Bulls have achieved success both on and off the field. Under head coach Billy Mohl, they have consistently been a force to be reckoned with in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). In 2012, the team won the Big East Tournament Championship and went on to compete in the NCAA Regionals.

One of the standout players in USF Baseball history is Luis Gonzalez. Gonzalez played for the Bulls from 1985-1988 and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the fourth round of the 1988 MLB Draft. He went on to play 19 seasons in the majors and won a World Series with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001.

Another notable Bull is pitcher Tommy Eveld, who played for USF from 2014-2016. Eveld was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the ninth round of the 2016 MLB Draft and made his major league debut with them in 2019.

USF Baseball has also produced successful coaches, including Lelo Prado, who coached the team from 2007-2014. During his tenure, Prado led the team to five NCAA Tournament appearances and a Big East regular-season championship.

In addition to producing successful players and coaches, USF Baseball has also made significant contributions to the sport itself. The Bulls have been at the forefront of technological advancements in baseball, using virtual reality technology to enhance player development and prepare for games.

Overall, USF Baseball has played a significant role in advancing the sport of baseball. From producing successful players and coaches to embracing new technologies, the Bulls have cemented their place in the world of collegiate baseball.
