Lotus Plaza is a musical project helmed by Deerhunter’s guitarist and vocalist, Lockett Pundt. While Deerhunter’s sound is often described as experimental rock and punk, Lotus Plaza leans towards a dreamy, shoegaze-inspired blend of atmospheric pop. As such, frontman Pundt has frequently used Lotus Plaza to explore some of the more introspective avenues of his songwriting style.

Live performances from Lotus Plaza were few and far between in the early years of the project, but as interest in the band grew, so too did the number of live shows they played.
