Formed in Arlington, Texas, Pentatonix consists of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. They gained a massive following on YouTube for their covers of popular songs before releasing original music.
