The History of State of Alert
State of Alert was a hardcore punk band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1980. The band was fronted by Ian MacKaye, who later became famous for his involvement in Minor Threat and Fugazi. State of Alert was known for their energetic live performances and raw, aggressive sound.
