The Lion King Tickets: Broadway, the West End and the North American Tour
The Lion King is playing in three places at once, and all of them are listed above. On Broadway it is at the Minskoff Theatre in New York, with performances currently listed through January 3, 2027 and more added as the box office releases them. In London it is at the Lyceum Theatre, with dates on sale through May 16, 2027. The North American tour is in New Orleans through November 8 and then moves through Louisville, Springfield, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tucson, El Paso, East Lansing, Greensboro and Chicago into the summer of 2027. Every date links to its own page with the seating chart for that theatre and every available seat sorted by price.
The Lion King on Broadway: Minskoff Theatre
The Broadway production has run since 1997 and has been at the Minskoff since 2006. Evening performances are mostly at 7:30pm, with matinees at 1pm or 2pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Minskoff is a large house, so there are usually seats available for most dates, including weekends, and the cheapest Broadway seats for this show are in the rear mezzanine. Front mezzanine seats are the best value for the opening of the show, when the animals enter through the aisles and the stage picture is designed to be seen from above. Orchestra seats cost the most; the first few rows put you inside the procession but you lose the overhead view.
The Lion King in London: Lyceum Theatre
The London production has been at the Lyceum since 1999 and has 235 performances on sale through mid-May 2027. Evening shows are at 7:30pm with 2:30pm matinees. The Lyceum's grand circle is the cheapest way in and still keeps the full stage view; the royal circle is the middle of the range and the best seat for the sweep of the opening; the stalls are the top of the range. Prices in dollars appear above and include exchange, so what you see is what you pay.

Tour stops run one to two weeks in most cities, eight performances a week, with the Los Angeles and Chicago engagements running two months. The cheapest tickets in any touring city are midweek evenings and the Wednesday matinee in the second week of the run, after the opening-weekend demand has passed. Saturday evenings and the final weekend in each city are the hardest to buy cheaply.
When Lion King tickets get cheaper
Broadway and London: midweek performances cost less than Friday and Saturday for the same seat, and prices for ordinary weeknights usually ease in the final few days. Holiday weeks, school breaks and the dates between Christmas and New Year hold their value and are best bought early.
Touring cities: the first weekend in each city sells highest. Second-week weeknights are consistently the lowest-priced tickets for the tour, and resale prices for those dates tend to fall in the last week as sellers clear inventory.
Families: rear mezzanine or grand circle seats for a weekday matinee are the cheapest way to take a group. The overhead view is a good one for this show.
