Born in 1951 as Frank Cavallo in the Bronx, Von Lmo first gained notoriety as the frontman of his band, Von Lmo's Army, during the late 1970s punk rock explosion in New York City. Aside from his music, Von Lmo was also renowned for his outrageous stage presence and performances. He would often appear onstage wearing elaborate costumes, masks, and makeup, while projecting bizarre visuals and otherworldly sounds through his guitar and electronic equipment.
